anyone had this problem? ive seen a few posts here and there that seem similar but no one replies. my account on Gigabit Freelancer -- Western PA server (hosted by the uni astrophysics dept.) vanished and never returned. i had been playing it without incident earlier that morning, but only for about 30 minutes or so. the server admin wrote me saying it was not intentional and that he has had a few other reports of accounts vanishing on his server.

i should probably note that i witnessed someone cheating while i was online. player comes on and hes level 1 in new york system. one minute later, hes level 38. then he leaves a few minutes later. the only people online at the time were myself and a level one noob with whom i was chatting (hence the reason my chat window was open for me to see all of this stuff).

i dont know if he had anything to do with my account vanishing. i never spoke to the suspected cheater so i dont know why he would have targeted my account, other than the fact it was the only high level online at the time. i dont really see why he would need to usurp or delete my account anyway, so i dont want to go pointing fingers. just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced account deletion like this? im kinda ticked off since that was the only active server i had a character on (since east coast vanished anyway).
