How to lvl up quickly?

I was talking my server to this guy lvl 38 and i asked him how he got so high and how long it took him. He said it only took him 3 hours, he got 200,000 every 4 min. I asked him and he wouldnt tell me, but he said many ppl know it. I have another friend who is 29 and he said he just did trade runs, but the other guy said he did somethin else.

He was right not to tell you. The game is already too easy. Just do the missions and you'll get there.

Appart from trading, the only thing I know of is taking high-pay jobs...but surely they would take more then 4mins. My best guess is that it was a cheat, and him saying "other people know how", could just mean other people know how to cheat. I mean it's a definate possibility, seeing as he refused to say how...after all, who would confess to cheating infront of the admin?

Here's my suggestion...if you see him again, DEMAND him to tell you how he got the money. If he refuses, ban him...cause he obviously did it by cheating.

missions are safer to do and they are faster than trade runs, so just do missions and sell the drops for decent prices (like yellow i guess, unless its scrap metal which you can jettison or sell for $5)

thnxs guys, and i was wondering wut is the most credits u can get from a mission

Post Sun Mar 23, 2003 10:37 pm

i done missions for 210k

do safer missions, bering is a good place, where you can kill rogues for 50k, the thing with FL is it only rates the difficulty on the number of ships you ahve to kill....if you did a 50k mission against corsairs it would be like 10 times harder

hmm could be the artifacs berlin run ... fits about, combat missions is 4 mins for 200k abit to much, its more like 150k per 4 mins ...

but well getting to level 38 in 3 hours is perfekt possible ... though I am normaly slower and need about 4-5 hours for it
and do not bother most time with it anway, just buy in short befor the 4th hour starts my eagle.

getting to lvl 38 isnt realy that hard once you know how the game works hes probably hanging around in systems were he is neutral with everyone and doing fast but medium profit trades and after a few hours hes in the millions ive done this several time average is 2 hours to get to lvl 38 it isnt hard, acusing some1 of cheating just becasue he can max out his lvl in a few hours isnt realy fair its realy the game developers fault for making it to darn easy

If you see a Saber running away rom some police, just wave youll know its me

Highest mission that I've seen payout other than what you loot is 250k...

the only prblem with trade routes is that you need to get a nice ship (humpback) before you can make some good money. When you start out try to get a lvl 38 guy to spot you about 200k then go get a nice ship and start tradeing. I think trading works much better that missions, i have a route where i make 350k in 10min and i never get attacked, NEVER.

It's really fun to make your first run to Hokkaido with Luxury Consumer Goods in a stripped down Starflier, then bring back Cardamine and an Advanced Thruster. The very first thing I do is sell my guns and nanobots to get a few extra holds of cargo. After the return trip to Manhattan (and selling the drugs my little Starflier's packed with), I can afford a Rhino and another load of Lux Goods back to Hokkaido. But once I own the flying brick, I need to hire myself an escort.

It's a fun run to make, especially in the Starflier (and $2281/hold net profit), but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but a good pilot. You're as good as dead in Galileo unless you're quick with your afterburners and can manually dock with lane rings.

> 350k in 10min

Do tell!
