encounters

hey is there a way that one could increase the encounters of everything
as in pirates navys civs transports all of it
i want to try to tweak my game so there is almost always another ship in view
and in hot spots like around dockable planets to have mass ammounts of ships. so it accualy looks like there is major cities and planets. and have all factions increased in that way so there is random and spontainious battles in places.
that would be sweet.

basically all you got to do is tweak your zones around places like this one around manhatten

Just make sure that you define any new encounters you place in your system at the top of your system INI or else you'll crash every time.

From memory, it's something like this:

[EncounterParameter
nickname = area_defend
file = missions/encounters/area_defend.ini

As richard said, play around with these lines (again, from my bad memory):

density = 12 <---bigger = more ships
repop_time = 10 <--- how long until more ships show up
max_battle_size = 8 <---self explanatory, so bigger = more ships
relief_time = 10 <---similar to above, but it's the length of time ships don't show up

If you set it too high and plan to run a server, you'll likely have a ton of lag.

hey ogu thanks for a long tiome i did not know what those numbers meant so last night i uped the number in thouku and the unknown man its murder there its like the new york subway at 1 am pre guliani days whhhhhhhheeeeeee
