wrong ship cmps?

I'm working on making a cap ship mod that allows players to fly capships. For some reason other players see NPC ships incorrectly. IMG is flying repair ships, another faction is docking trains in the docking rings.

What would cause this? There's nothing obvious in the mod to change this.

clone bases have been added so the cap ships can moor
shiparches have been edited to allow the capships
goods files have been added to the clone bases
that's about it.

it could have different reasons

1. the faction and the ships aligned to that faction could be wrong (the tags for them or the alignment itself)

2. the definition of the ships in the shiparch could be wrong

3. the cmps could be corrupted (if players see wrong ships but the info shows the correct ship) -> crc error or simply a duplicate hull name (which is a problem of almost every big mod that uses different ship packs)

without the code or the cmps its not possible to say more

Is a picture of what it looks like . The cmp for the train does not change. So I'm guessing it wouldn't be cmp corruption. What would cause crc error or simply a duplicate hull name ?

If you're running a mod, make sure your players are running the same mod.
Top Freelancers is like this. If "newbies" aren't running the mod this can happen.

this is supposed to be an optional mod. what it does is give players with the mod the ability to fly the capships but also allows the unmodded player to play unmodded and interact with the modded players. this is something that was working fine on Eagle Utopia according to Eagle.

I've seen something similar before. I was working with XTS Battleship Encounters server side mod and the nomads were flying Anubis ships with transport turrets in the forward gun positions. ...looked kinda cool actually... I just don't remember how it was caused.
