Barracuda or Dragon heavy fighters?

Just curious what you guys think, as I'm torn between the two.

Bounty hunter barracuda has a bit more cargo space, but also uses a turret, which I've found to be not quite as useful as a straight gun/missile hardpoint like the Dragon's 6/0 configuration.

The aesthetics are more or less a toss-up, they both have an odd kind of grace going for them.

The deciding factor would be manueverability, and I think the Barracuda is a bit more manueverable, but I'm not dead sure. Does anyone know off hand, or is there a way to look this up?

I switched from a Dragon and regretted it because the Bounty hunter ship tends to shed wings, taking expensive weapons with it.

Barracuda is a better ship unless you really start taking structural damage and then you'll lose weapons, so the dragon takes damage better but the barracuda seems quicker to me.

I stuck with the Dragon for the simple reason you dont loose weapons in a serious fire fight until your almost dead.

Anyway soon did a few more missions and got the Falcon which I didnt like, didnt seem to delivery the firepower as well as the Dragon. Now I have the Hammer head which I like a lot, but I've not meet any Titans yet.

whew all this talk about losing wings brings back memories. Last time I had a wing shot off was the first time I went to colorado and fought the Lane Hackers (or was it the rouges) in the single player mission in my Starflier (whichever one's the first one). Now that I have the sabre and the lvl 10 tachyon shield, I hardly ever get non-radiation hull damage, except sometimes I get jumped by Nomads in the unknown systems right out of the jump holes, but i've always kept good care of my sabre, never had it light on fire... wouldn't want to lose one of my diamondback's!
