Need help with the Tekagi mission.

I'm playing single player and I'm on the mission where you need to destroy the shield generators on Takegi's base and get into his base. I'm trying to make runs on the shield generators with my guns but whenever I get close and slow down to get more damage in it's a ****ing missle and laser circle **** all over me. So then I try to destroy the fighters and **** but after a while it tells me I failed because Takegi escaped or some bull****. Any tips or pointers? Maybe I should try using a different type of weapon or something to take out the generators quickly? I'm level 16 and flying a Barracuda.

Just fly up to the generators as fast as you can, try to shield yourself with the shield itself. Try to put the shield between you and the enemies, it won't always be easy, but with 1 or 2 shields you should be pretty safe. The point is you'll have to be very fast, don't bother with anything else while you're at it! Oh, and make sure you have a lot of shield gens and nano's
