two questions: one about mining and one about wrecks.

Ok here are a couple things I've been wondering about:

Mining: So I go to the astroid field, and start shooting at rocks. But they just blow up and turn into space dust, no ore or anything interesting like that. Are there any guns that are better for mining. also any locations that you just can't mine even through there are heaps of floating rock?

Wrecks: I'm in Bretonia and was wondering if there are any here, and if there are where?

Uhhhh you have to make sure your in a minable area first. On the map theres a little icon like two pick axes crossed. when you click that it will show you all the minable areas in that system. try f5 and f4 in dresden system free diamonds there probably 1 out of 10 rocks you shoot you get a diamond.

but if you shoot a rock with too much power does it destroy the whole thing? (ie rock and commodity)

It can, or it can damage the commodity. Use just a single laser to mine. I just press 1 or 2 to fire.
