Help

I need the absolute best LEGAL Single Player Traderoute - I need to make a quick 100k with my dragon to advance the storyline...

P.S Sorry, for got to tell you my stats and all...

I'm currently using a Dragon, I have good money (20 hrs of gameplay and only level 13 should tell you why) - yes, I trade alot. But it's so monotonous and long - I'd like something easier/quicker for a ship that only has 40 cargo space. I'm the 'good guy' type and like playing on the side that is (or I think is good), so trips to Tau 23 and Macten won't work for me (as they're all missing about 1 bar from utter hatred of me). Lets see - I like to explore, but I don't think I can till' I advance my missions and for that I need a little more than 70k. (I'm a trader AND a fighter). I can tell this game is going to take me a while to finish by the fact that all the better ships seem to be in baddie territory; so I need a little help. Anything I'm forgetting? Ohh...I'm in the Kusari System currenlty but you probably know that.

That's it...Thanks. And btw; spoil spoil spoil. Knowing what's gonna happen doesn't really kill this game for me.

Ok, the best route that i have found so far for single player is

Planet New Tokyo ----> Planet cambridge (engine comps) making $1000/unit
Planet Cambridge ----> Planet New London (Diamonds) making $177/unit
Planet New London ----> Planet Denver (lux food) making $1120/unit
Planet Denver ----> Planet New tokyo (lux consumer) making $577/unit

This route should get you about $700k profit in a humpback, and about 50k more in a dromedary. Remember that lux food is perishable, so u will lose 8-10 units from london to denver, but the profit on the rest makes up for it.

Tanks to those who have posted up the routes included in this route. I found this is the quickest way of making monel legally in SP. If u fancy the risk though, there is always the cardomine/artifacts/diamonds runs to be done.... which is no biggie if ur factions are right and your in a big ship

ok, having just read the rest of your thread (sorry) quickest way to make money in small ship is Kepler (ames research station) to Denver running engine parts. this yields $301/unit profit, and u can run water the other way. however, where you are in the game this region might still be a little hot as if i remember rightly Liberty hates you in SP atm....

Hmmm. So then how'd I do it?

OK....say I manage to get a freighter - give me something almost completely risk free.

Thanks for the info. so far by the way.

ok.

have just done a quick check, and the best route i have found (so far, not used to doing the smaller runs as i was working for pirates at this point in sp) is running consumer goods from Planet New Tokyo (New Tokyo system) to Aomori station (Honshu) making $77/unit profit. I know thats not very much, but if u combine that with doing missions on the way, it will help emmensely.

The major problem with where you are is that you have problmes doing the most profitable runs, as most people hate you ( ). If you can get a good freighter, u can make just under $20k a run, but for 40 space, u can make only $3040 which is not much (i am sure u dont want to have to do the run 30 times!) Best bet is missions and a few runs till u can afford a bigger ship, and then do a few runs in the transport to get the money up, then sell the transporter for a fighter to carry on with the missions. Will carry on trying to work out more trade routes for you this weekend (i love being a student!) that focus on Kusari space and see if i can find bigger profits without having to worry too much about factions. Hope this helps again.

If u want to do the armes station runs, as i said, u will have prblems with liberty police. However, u can run away from them (as long as they are neutral u can still dock, maybe a bribe somewhere in Kepler?) or if your up to it fight them (which can get very very messy) but as u said, assuming your trying to be a good guy thats not going to work. #

best of luck for it mate, and i hope u can yield some profits somewhere

Hey

If u go to the d/l pages of this site, thee are lots of programs that will show you maps and so forth. From Kyushu to new tokyo , there is a jump gate at co-ord G3. Once you have found this, it should make life much easier. Am still checking for runs around the area, as i have just started SP again cos i got bored being lev 38 with an eagle and full nomad weps etc....

trade is slow in single player, best is to do missions while increasing your NW

especially those that earn about 5k apice...takes less time to do one of those and land and pick up another one than to run a trade route
