Why can''t I do MP?

Why can''t I do MP?

whenever i go to the server list, it says they are all empty. do i need to download a patch or something?

try opening a LAN-server and connect to it

do you have a firewall or a small one like zone alarm or norton internet security before connecting to the internet?

When yes try without it, this will run or better, to have further your security, allow the ports from your server (if you have one) to connect.

Freelancer uses the standard DirectPlay ports, so your firewall needs to pass UDP ports 2302-2304 to the server machine

if you don´t have a firewall installed do you use the internet security from XP?
If yes, set them offline while playing...

Or do you connect via LAN? Do you use NAT anyway need more information to become more special...

I do have norton antivirus on, i will try to run mp with it disabled. (im at school right now in computer class i shouldnt connect to LAN right? I should go to internet, i presume?
