Aren't they random? Though if anyone knows, how much does a wreck usually give out? Twice I hit a wreck; one was 2 guns and a missile launcher, the other was a gold ship which only netted me 10 gold. I'm not sure if I could've got more gold though since my hold was full and I didn't blow it up totally (15% dmg) which made me think there was more *drool*

Random ? How ? I don't think so 'cause this and other forums are full of these coordinates where they have found "hot spots" and they are marked in same places. Items you find and get are what they are, and while you can see the items in wrecks second time you get to the same place, you can't get them anymore.

i dont think they're random. maybe it depends on the level u have, coz when i took some shots at the danzig, it droppes around 600 units of luxury goods ( great thing, really....flying a vhf wit 70 cargo space......)

Is there a trick to getting loot from an abandoned ship? I found about ten last night. I tried shooting them with a single gun. I destroyed all of them in this way, and only one released any cargo (some class 6-8 junk.) Does it help to aim at certain portions of the ship or anything?

I dunno if it's a bug or intentional, but sometimes they just don't put out. Me, I blame the Junkers. Bastards are stealing my loot!
