Hmmmm.... I remember Paladin in WC3 & WC4 to be a big, huge, fat Scottish guy. My memories of The Lord Of The Rings movie recall that he is short, or maybe that's just the image the movies left me, especially after all those jokes about his height.

Do you know how much photographic and cgi wizardy they had to go to to make him smaller than humans?? lol

He also played the professor in Sliders, and was a reacurring character in the Indiana Jones movies.

Yes, his most famous role up until LOTR was Sala on the Indiana Jones movies. He didn't voice Paladin in Wing Commander 2. He only played him in Wing Commander 3 and 4.

On a side note, its nice to see some more famous names involved in Freelancer.. its right in the good ole Origin tradition; the cast for Wing Commander 3 and 4, and Privateer 2: The Darkening was simply amazing!!

This is actually how I got to know Mark Hamill .. my memory of him is foremost associated with Wing Commander, and not so much with Star Wars.

Yeah, I meant WC3 and WC4. I'd completely forgotten there was a voice pack for WC2. As for making him look like a dwarf in LOTR, you guys should have a look at the extras on the 4-disc FOTR DVD set if you're interested in behind-the-scenes stuff. Turns out there was a lot less CG and blue-screen "wizardry" involved than you might think. Lots of good old-fashioned forced-perspective camera work and oversized props/sets most of the time. In reality, he was the tallest member of the Fellowship.
