Help with Mission 6 (that stupid race)

I'm not able to win this damn race ... the problem is that my cruise engines power off about 4-5 times during this race .. is this normal ??

Please help I'm really struck here ..

Don't use F2 (go to) to enter cruise mode, press shift+w instead.
