Anubis
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

While playing the SP i picked up an anubis from the order, and this ship rocks out. Though it does really screw over my networth because it has a re-sale value of about 800 whats up with that??
**spoiler***
I had serious difficulty docking with the Osiris in one of my missions cause I was still flying a piece of junk. You are fired on heavily by several cruisers while you are docking. I was also out of money and had to chance to get more cause I was already into a long string of story missions. So I sold my ship for something like 50k and bought the far superior Anubis for much less. The guns were better, the shields better, and all for much much less than standard equipment. "Order" stuff is great. Anyway, the cargo space is almost as good as a small freighter. The Anubis got me to level 18 no problem. I plan to keep it until I find a large freighter.

It took me two attempts but i finally got it...i beat the SP a while back...my main question and reason for starting this thread is that everyoen talks about whats the best fight and a number of types have been thrown out there, and none have been anubis. Which to my experience is the best to fly and statistically one of the best bar none. Also i was wondering why its re-sale value is so low.
Anubis is great for single play, but if you continue onward, and into the edge and border worlds, it will get owned hard. It was a trusty ship, but doesn't compare to the elite ships - Eagle, Saber, Titan.
As far as the resale value.. whats the big deal? You only paid like 900 for it... you expect the resale to be like 300k? Money that you would have normally spent on a ship, you saved. So its not like you lost money or anything.

Consider the Anubis as a "company loaner" you got to sell your existing ship for a bit of cash, keep the cash for minor repairs during the SP missions, then have a decent ship when the SP is over to make money towards something better. I used the Anubis on New Berlin taking police missions to make 300k then bought a Humpback and started runs between New London and Los Angeles. I have over 1,000,000 now. Saving for a Sabre, Titan or Eagle, but quite enjoyed the Humpback in the process so I never stopped doing cardo runs. Its fun to see Rouges or Mollys disrupt the trade lane expecting a "easy" kill. They just didnt realize who was gonna get the easy kill. I may be slow and ugly, but I got a hell of a punch and a big belly to store lots of goodies.

1 million is enough, just havent gotten around to buying one yet. I think Im headed for the Sabre first. Went all the way to Dresden to buy one from the Hessians but once I got there I couldnt seem to make them like me. Just dislike me more since they attack me all the time. So I am headed back over to Tau 29 and get my rep fixed with the Outcasts to pick one up from them. It will cost 150k for the rep but I got 1.5 million now so thats not a problem. Just wish I would have taken that route while I was still in Bretonia space. The one thing the poor outcasts dont realize is I am just going to turn around and start killing them all again. Gotta make this world safe from such bandits.
The cost isn't just for the fighter itself, you have to outfit it. If you're coming from a freighter, which you likely are if you want to earn over a million credits, you'll need to buy a complete set of class 8+ fixed guns, shields, and a torpedo launcher. With weapons costing in the 100k range, it adds up quickly.
I must really suck. I had to reload about 5 different times before I finally docked successfully with the Osiris. And I only made it by guesstimating where the Osiris would decloak, cruising over to the approximate spot, then docking the second it appeared. Made me feel kind of sleazy doing that.
