Biggest profit margin commodity in the game?

Just for fun, since I've been exploring around... So far, the biggest one I've encountered:

Niobium sells at Falkland Base in Tau-37 for 160, Leipzig Station in Dresden will buy for 1600. Margin of profit = 1440

Come to think of it, there may be a pershiable item or two that might be better... still, I'm curious.

I'm not talking practical routes for trade either. Just for the biggest margin.. because I'm a stat geek like that.

I believe some of the jokers around here have found trade routes that'll make you a millionaire in just a few runs. But you'd be best to check the spoiler forum for that.

I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

The biggest profit I've found is in Alien Organisms. Buy them in Omicron Beta for $100, and sell them in California or cambridge for $2000: profit of $1900! Unfortunately, Alien Organisms are HIGHLY perishable, so you won't be able to sell your whole truckload (or in this case shipload).

yep alien organisms, but it's a long trip but makes 500k oneway. next would be mining diamonds in dresden and selling in new tokyo for 425k, but also long.

i prefer my standard diamonds from new berlin to new tokyo and from there niobium to the ring right before new berlin.

makes about 750k and takes appr. 20 minutes.

Planet Manhatten -> New Berlin, I believe it's luxury consumer goods I buy, for $150 -> $900, from New Berlin to New Tokyo with Diamonds $450 -> $1600 and from New Berlin Back to Planet Manhatten w/ Niobium?? (Can't remember all the goods I've done so much trading hehe).. This with a Humpback yields around $1m in about an hour if you're quick. Usually we group together to make this run and then from there fund new fighters *evil grin* so now we have an array of characters that range from pirates to bounty hunters to whatever we want to create next.
