How to beat Hovis in the Speed Race?

I just can´t win that $%$#%#$%$ Hovis in the Speed Race.

Any help is welcome..

Maybe I´m just a retard with movements problems hehehhe

I had cavalier too and made it with one try. Don't know what to say.
engage your cruise engines as soon as possible after race starts. follow waypoints. may be advanced thruster will help you.

engage cruise speed and hit all the gates in order and youll have no problem

Note -- Hovis will make one "mistake" toward the end of the run so dont be discouraged if he's beating you the whole race. As long as you dont make a mistake, you'll win

Be sure you are in free flight using cruise (shift+w) and not "goto" (F2). The goto command tends to shut off when it determines it's path is obstructed. All engines/ships are the same speed....the way I beat him was to watch for him to faulter near the last leg where you can pass him.
