Sabre..&..Hassians

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Sabre..&..Hassians

I've made some money with trading and am looking for the Sabre right now. I've found the location of it and must first get friendly with the Red Hassians..

I've red a forum post where someone said you need to go to omicron theta and bribe someone there..well, i've been there..but there's only someone you can bribe to become friendlier with the Corsairs..so..

I'm playing singleplayer btw.

Well, i just spend 2 hours taking on missions in omicron theta and sigma 7 killing Corsair ships but my status towards the Red Hassians hasnt changed..it changed a litlle bit after a few missions...and then it changed back..and all i've been doing is taking on missions to kill Corsairs..most feared enemies of the Red Hassians.. -_-

If anyone knows where i can find someone to bribe to become friendly with the Red Hassians plz tell me.

Try the Junkers base in Berlin.

Or you could just kill Daumann or Rheindland Police.
Or you could just get the Sabre from the Outcasts instead.

vogstadt (hessian, rheinland space) and malta (outcast, hispania space) both sell it.. personally, i just bribed my way to buddy buddiness.. one thing though.. now every good guy attacks me on sight (not a good thing). you might want to be more selective on bribery or faction balancing.

Note: If the mission is issued by enemies of Red Hessians (like bounty hunters), chances are they'll hate you even more, even if your objective is to kill Corsairs.
I found that out when doing lots of missions to kill outcasts.. didn't help my rep with hessians and corsairs a bit.

I forgot what system I'm in (think Omega 41), but there's a little neutral corporate base that's close to a Red Hassian depot. I wanted to get friendly with the Corsairs, so I just wander out into the asteroid field by the Hassian base and wait for 5-10 Hassian Sabres to attack. I blow em all up, tractor in the goods (which makes me around 10-30K per combat trip) and dock with my neutral base. Everytime I do, Corsairs get a little friendlier. However, when I accepted a mission from the corporation operating this base to destroy Hassians, my rep with the Corsairs didn't budge.

try the junkers base in sigma 13 or the red hessian's base in the stuttgart ( i can land w/o any problem ..weird?)

you should be able to bribe them... but be careful you dont over do it or you will have the police all over your arse

I found out that killing bounty hunters/republican/bowex in omega 3 or 7 system is the best way to be neutral/friendly with the red hessians.

These systems are border world systems with less traffic and enemies then other systems like the new berlin system. (You dont want to be killed by an overwhelming force of fighters, do you?)

Secondly, you dont want to encounter corsairs in systems like the omega 41 and omicron systems. That gives you less stress and pain when you want to gather the lvl10 weapons and kill the nomads. :-)

My personal suggestion on acquiring the Sabre is to befriend the Outcasts, not the Hessians. I've actually managed to do this while still being on green with the Corsairs and Bounty Hunters (i killed xenos till I was neutral with the Outcasts and green with bounty hunters, killed red hessians and mollys till i was neutral with the Corsairs, then went to both of their homeworlds and bribed them to green). This really makes your trips through the border worlds less stressful for both sides, and gives you the option of trying out the titan and the sabre (if you got the cash). My only problem is that now that I've allied myself with the three strongest factions in the game, only the occaisonal hessian sabre wing and of course the nomads present any challenge to me. Kind of disappointing, but much less stressful, as i said.

The other reason to go for the Outcast's Sabre is that you find a lot of cool stuff along the way, assuming you take the time to explore the systems on your way to Omicron Alpha. Seeing those two unknown systems, finding that niobium rich field in tau-37, exploring those beautiful landscapes, reading all that cool backround information on those mysterious pirates... it's all worth it, more so than just staying in the center of Sirius and getting the Sabre with the Hessians. But then again, that's my explorer-side talking.

You can bribe a guy at Bruchsal base (Bundschuh) to hack your Hessian's rep. Just save at the bar and reload until he makes the offer.
You can also kill enemies of the Hessians to become their friend. Be careful though, for instance if you fly missions for the bounty hunters gild and kill Corsairs you will also become a friend with the bounty hunters that will slow down your progress with the hessians because the hunters are also their enemies.
Best choice is to kill corsairs for free. But not only 7. Let's say 170. That should do the trick.
