Understanding Mission 9 (potential spoilers)

Hey,

I am trying to figure out exactly what's expected of me in Mission 9. This the one where Uzo, myself and some Blood Dragon cohorts attempt to take out the base with "The Arch".

So... what's expected of me? Quite a bit is going on, and let me tell you, I love every single minute of those dogfights, but I keep getting "mission failure" messages. I had no idea I was doing anything wrong by taking out bad guys.

As far as I can tell here are the things involved in the mission at this point:

- the skirmish in the debris field before reaching the Arch base
- the skirmish just before the base
- something about shield generators
- something about "gunships"
- something about going beneath the base somehow... ???

If anyone's gone through this mission and remembers how to go through this in the right order, let me know.

You have to destroy the four shield generators outside of the bubble-like shield protecting the floating base. Just fly to each Shield Generator waypoint and destroy each one with your guns/missles/torpedoes whatever, then fly into the center of the structure once the shield is down.

are level 4 shield for this mission to badly.....
everytime i stand in front of one generator, rockets kill my shield so fast,
that 20 nanobots and shiels arent enough!
what must i do? staanding there all the time firering and pushing the shields?
it is in the end of the mission?
my ship in not the worstest!
level 6 only the shield is 4!

WHOA, the level 4 shield is definitely a problem...if you can find anything better
get it.

Sorry about posting in the wrong forum. It's a double-edged sword, you know what I mean? Like, in order to get the help, I need to shed some light on the situation, but at the same time, I don't want to walk into a forum where I'll encounter spoilers myself .

Thanks for the help guys; even after figuring out what to do, that was incredibly hard (maybe I wasn't using the right kind of energy-based weapons, because it was taking forever ) but it was still very fun.

i thought the shields wouldn´t make the thing, because i came to the reactor without getting hurt, but in the time i will destroy the generator, i die very fast!
