Mission 4 - New London ship dealer?

At the end of mission 4, Tobias gives you a bunch of credits and tells you to check out the ship dealer on New London. Am I missing something, or is the ship dealer on New London EXACTLY the same as the one on Leeds (where Tobias is)? Why does Tobias send you all the way there in the first place? Is there a way to get a special ship on New London?

To end mission 4, you need to talk to the equipment dealer on Leeds.

And yeah, I think they are the same ships on Leeds and New London. But, you might as well fly over there anyway.
