Mission 13 SP !!

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Mission 13 SP !!

Damn this game is annoying. I realise it has to be hard at the ned but it still pisses me off.

I have entered the Nomad Planet and am attacking their installation. Shame I have Zero Nanos or Sheilds and only 20% Hull integrity.

Is there any way I can do this mission or should I go back ??

Im using the Anubis HF, I have run out of Starkillers.

I'd say go back. Make sure you have a full load of torps and nano/shield batts. I had trouble with the mission as well. I just barely made it, was out of shield batts and had only about half of my nanobots left. Just try to preserved your shield batteries. Remember that if your shield fails it will come back after 15 to 20 seconds. So, if your shield fails just try to afterburn away from danger and you can do some evasive moves until it comes back. Don't go crazy with the torps either. Try to preserve those too.

Thanks for the reply m8

Ill go back and try and get through.

This game is awsome but gets frustrating on SP sometimes. You get to a point that you just cant continue without loading an old save game.

Shame you cant pull away and redock to re-equip.

Anyway. Thanks for the tips.

Traveller.

I just finished the last mission and didnt use 1 starkiller, used all lasers. When the mission starts, Cruise to the left side towards the base. Head right for one of the generators. As you close in, make sure you are in freeflight mode and when you hit about 1000m from the generator, exit cruise and fly right at the generator. Keep circling around the generator, moving at 79, staying right on it and keep firing. You will destroy it and the outer turrets wont hit you. Worked for me.

Rev that is what I did. And I only had 0 batteries and about 8 nanos.

Just did it. Well, it was easy :-) Or I was lucky :-)
I started with 13-15 nanobots and 8 batteries (not enough money to more supply :-)) ) about 20 slingshot missiles and about 15 starkillers. 5 Reaper Mk 2 lasers and one Reaper Turret on board :-)
When I came into Nomads system and was on the way to generators I had 17 nanobots and 17 batteries (make some clean work before destroy generators was efficient :-)) )
My tactics in destroying generators in internal Nomads system (two big flying islands): I found that there is a ray from generator to the city, I fly from that side and stopped very close to generators staying within this ray, then I fire generator with lasers only. I don't know why, but when I did it with first generator no one fire me (may be covering job of Juni and King). When I fire second generator I got a little firing on me, but it was so little that I get no damage (they even couldn't destroy my shield).

I managed to complete that mission first time out without using missiles or torpedoes. I'm starting to think I just got lucky since it seems everyone has had something to say about equipping torps. I'd come to a dead stop at the shield generators and just strafe side to side as I fired to avoid incoming fire from turrets and fighters.

When attacking the generators inside the dyson sphere I flew into the groove that goes around their middle and hit Z as I cruised along and shot at the bottom of the groove. When I cleared it I would hit Z again, readjust my course to take me around the loop and hit Z to strafe once more.

I really think I just got lucky.

DVC that's exactly how you're suppose to destroy the generators... I did the exact same thing (I didn't strafe I just flew around the groove) and it was a piece of cake... The last few missions I was basically admiring the scenery...

Looks like that tactics is true, because I did almost the same as you and made it with ease :-)
