A question
This might sounds stupid but how do you mine ores? I heard that you simply shoot at the rocks flying toward you at the "mining field" but i dont recieve anything by shooting them. Can someoen answer please?

Depends on the field. I haven't gotten anything from "mining" in the badlands of New York, say, but in the debris field sometimes I do get some scrap metal in my inventory.
To upgrade ships and weapons, you by them and then attach them on planets or stations.

Before you attempt to mine in a certain area check the system map if it's a mineable zone. Otherwise you could be sitting there and shooting rocks for ages without finding anything.
