*spoilers* Rings with no planet?

I found a rather odd looking space phenomena today. I was travelling on the tradelane from Planet Junyo to Deshira Station when I to my right noticed some of those planetary rings without a planet. Is this a bug or is there some mysterious invisible planet hidden there? (Ok, maybe not, but you never know...) I haven't examined it further (check if I can travel to where the planet would have been or so). Has anyone else seen this? (I have a screenshot of it, if anyone needs convincing)

I've seen it too

I was under the impression that they were supposed to go around another planet but accidently got moved out of place, or there was a planet that got deleted.

So are they RingWorlds or a program bug??? I guess they are not RingWorls because a RingWould has a sun in the middle... Oh well I got my hope up( and one of my messages deleted

That's a negatory. They are neither ringworlds or missing planets. Try flying within 6 K of the ring and you will notice that it is a jump hole. Congrats, you've just discovered a naturally occurring jump hole. Huzzah

Some of the rings have jumpholes in them. Some dont. One goes from Sigma 13 (i think, even tho i just took it today hahah) to Dresden.
