Hopefully the Honshu system is a familiar one to you.

In sector G4 of Honshu, there's a Jump Gate to Sigma-19; take it.
In sector E3 of Sigma-19, there's a Jump Hole to Omicron Beta; take it.
On the border of Sector D3 and E3 of Omicron Beta, there's a Jump Hole to Omicron Alpha; take it. In D5 of Omicron Alpha, you'll find Planet Malta, dealing Sabres for 558,500 credits.

However, since you're only one system away from Omicron Theta, I strongly suggest that you buy an Eagle instead of the Sabre. The Eagle turns faster, holds more cargo, has stronger armor, carries stronger weapons, costs the same, and I think it's definitely a superior ship to the Sabre. You can find the Eagle on Freeport-9 in Omicron Theta.

There's a jumphole leading to Omicron Theta in the south-western corner of Alpha's F5. In Omicron Theta, you can find Freeport-9 in southern E4, out in the wide open. You can't miss it. Hope this helps.

Woo! I know the Honshu system. Thanks so much. I've spent a couple of HOURS trying to find where to get the Sabre.

Also, would anyone happen to know where Omicron Theta/Freeport 9 is? I know where the Hamburg system is and i'm wondering if it's around there.

You can only buy the ship if your rep's good with the outcasts... I suggest you get the eagle instead.

haha, you'd have to be friendly with the outcasts to even survive out there =) so many bounty hunters with barracudas

eagle and sabre both hold 70 cargo. eagle has 9900 armor, sabre has 10800. both carry level 8/10 weapons. unless you like the eagle's looks better, it has no advantage over the sabre, vice-versa actually.
