There should be a waypoint directing you to your mission objective. If that isn't the case, try switching your scanner to "solars" (icons above target list) and look for something like "Planet Manhatten -> Westpoint Acadamy". Select it and activate the "dock" command (press F3 or click on the icon on top of the screen). Your ship should move to the first tradelane ring and enter the line automatically now.

I do that but each time i try to dock its red and does not allow me to dock.

it must be easy to find, do i have to go to west point or can i find a trade lane to go somewhere else?

Hm... if it doesn't let you dock you maybe have to get to Westpoint by using your cruise engines. Just fly into the direction of the big purple cloud (badlands) and you should reach Westpoint after a few minutes. Maybe you can dock with one of the tradelane rings in between. Sorry, haven't played the missions yet so i don't know what else you could try. I'm still waiting for my copy.

keep trying to dock. sometimes the story will not let you jump into trade lanes so soon. wait a few minutes and try docking later. it's impossible for a trade lane to reject you if you're hostile, so just give the story time to 'accept' that you have to dock
