Remains of a station in Sigma-17

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Remains of a station in Sigma-17

Is that what's left of freeport 7? Or is it's name mentioned somewhere else or is it just some random destroyed station?

If you recall back to the beginning of the game, Freeport-7 is the base that was destroyed, in which you, and a handful of others were the only survivors.

Remember? =)

Was looking for that one, can you tellme what grid/square in sigma-17 it is in?

Hmm, odd that FP7 was in Sigma 17. Why would they take the survivors back to Liberty? (plot, yeah, I know)

Does the system of Sigma 17 look like the suns in the intro cinematic?

This station has no name, there are just large parts floating around. That's why I'm asking if it's fp7. I know fp7 is in intro and you were on it. But I don't know if this is it. Bits don't look much like fp7 though. Anyway it's in an asteroid field near jump gates from sigma 17 to sigma 19 . If you look around from that gates you should see an asteroid field in front of bright blue background (really nice looking heh). Head towards it and you should see one big piece in space, when you close in there are more pieces.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. If this is fp7 why would they take survivors to liberty.

It's at the edge of asteroid field in E3.

you're all wrong and wright
they made an erxtra system FP7 in the system map
it has the same stars as the system the so called base wreck is in
i making custom sytems and found it i hazve placed a jump gate to it
but haven't visited yet
there are also a few nomad systems that normaly can't be visited i put a gate to there as well

(looked like microsoft planned ahead and put in some enemy nomad systems

i think the FP7 still exist and is useabale or it could not be i know for sure that the wreck found is not of FP7
remember the central part of FP7 looked like westpoint academy
has anyfound a single piece of debris in the wreck that looked like that

why would they have been taking to liberty maybe the first rescue ship was from liberty or they stumbeled into liberty space after fleeing

liberty is central and low enelies that could be it

I disagree to that...It may be that the programmers did create a spoof system to carry out the intro (although I woudn't understand what good that would do). If you read Trent's log (the first few entries), you'll read about the "strange ships appearing in Sigma 17" and you'll also read about him conducting business on Planet Kurasil (or so, in Sigma 17). It all points that he was located in Sigma 17 at the time of the attack, so FP7 must have been located there too. If you check the wreckage next to the jumpgate, it kinnda all makes sense. Only because you can't focus on the wreckage for verification, or it doesn't appear to look like FP7, can rather be explained with the ease of using a standard station wreckage sprite to represent FP7. Besides, our NAV computer shows us all systems within the Sirus system, FP7 must have been in Sirus, hence in one of the pre-existing systems (excluding the unknown "easter egg" systems - that really seem more like gag than part of story). There is also an additional hint, namely the wreck of the bounty hunter in Sigma 17 that (quote) : "couldn't escape the attack on FP7" (he was likely killed by the Nomads). However, maybe you're right in the sense of the spoof-identical Sigma 17, that offers an intacts FP7. If that's true, maybe you should check it out, who knows, maybe there ghosts on board, or some other easter egg is hidden from us If you find out something, let me know!!!

don't it thrill to see the pieces of rumour and trent's log fall into places ?

This is currently registered with the FAA as a glider, and according to FAA records, it has no engine - which is technically true, if you ignore that large rocket in back.
