I disagree to that...It may be that the programmers did create a spoof system to carry out the intro (although I woudn't understand what good that would do). If you read Trent's log (the first few entries), you'll read about the "strange ships appearing in Sigma 17" and you'll also read about him conducting business on Planet Kurasil (or so, in Sigma 17). It all points that he was located in Sigma 17 at the time of the attack, so FP7 must have been located there too. If you check the wreckage next to the jumpgate, it kinnda all makes sense. Only because you can't focus on the wreckage for verification, or it doesn't appear to look like FP7, can rather be explained with the ease of using a standard station wreckage sprite to represent FP7. Besides, our NAV computer shows us all systems within the Sirus system, FP7 must have been in Sirus, hence in one of the pre-existing systems (excluding the unknown "easter egg" systems - that really seem more like gag than part of story). There is also an additional hint, namely the wreck of the bounty hunter in Sigma 17 that (quote) : "couldn't escape the attack on FP7" (he was likely killed by the Nomads). However, maybe you're right in the sense of the spoof-identical Sigma 17, that offers an intacts FP7. If that's true, maybe you should check it out, who knows, maybe there ghosts on board, or some other easter egg is hidden from us
If you find out something, let me know!!!
