Huge Bug.

Why is it that when I have 4 lane hackers chasing me in my rhino, all I have to do is hit afterburner, hit engine kill then watch them drift away? What a horrible piece of AI that is. Iv'e done it against everyone from liberty rogues to corsairs in titans, works every time. Did noone in testing ever try out the engine kill button? It makes trading absurdly easy, because if you ever get lane hacked, you just do that.

We did - and we knew it is the best way to flee... moved to spoiler forum though, since you basicly tell about the most effective way to avoid the pirates... Actually this manouver can only be done with Cruise, not just afterburners!

At later levels though they are very quick to get you, and thus this manouver in some situation looses it's effectiveness...

Actually, you can do this with engine kill and just the afterburners. How, you ask? Turn around to face them during the "slide". The enemy AI slows down, I suppose they think you're coming at them.
