If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Most Agile Light Fighter?

What's the most agile light fighter in the game? I've been using a lot of heavy fighters, but since I went back and saw the maneuverability of the Starflier I've been looking for an extremely agile ship to fly around in.

eagle is equal to a starflyer

I said LIGHT fighters. I'm trying to play without resorting to the cheesy VHF's and level 10 weapons, and I only have $50k right now.

dagger. kill some cops and head down to buffalo base in the liberty badlands. the dagger isn't even that expensive, but it's really something

Dagger is very good indeed

They should have made(or should make) a LF thats very agile, but has 2 class gun 10 spots, but a low energy reserve. Seems like you HAVE to go HF of VHF if you want to do any good. Although I really like my banshee with wakizashis and katanas guns, it seems a shame that class 7 is the best guns i can get.

I agree. One of the things in freelancer I am most disappointed in was the fact that you can't put higher level weapons on some ships.

Considering that one can buy Class 10 Light Fighter shields, there SHOULD be a C10 LF. In fact, judging from the fact that they are even sold, there was SUPPOSED to be one, but, like the C10 freighter, it disappeared for some reason. A lot of this game is mysteriously missing. I think it's the new "let's cut out some of the features we were planning to have, and peddle it to you suckers as an expansion pack!" marketting strategy.

Until a good mod or patch comes out, my "final" ship is a Banshee.

Class 7 is plenty strong. I can take out class 10 AI ships or PC freighters without much trouble, and when a cheese nomad gun Titan shows up he can't hit me. The best part is that I can actually die if I stop moving. Amazing how much fun this game can be when you have a challenge.

As for the most agile light fighter... it's probably the starting ship, not much in the game moves as well. But honestly level 7 guns are about the lowest you can complete the game with. The Banshee is more agile than any HF or XHF, and packs more firepower than any other LF. A clear choice. I just wish It had 5 gun slots so I could mount a missile battery. Hard to justify spending 1/4 of my firepower on a homing missile.

if by 'complete the game' you mean beat the campaign, I did so with a drake, 2 level 5 and 2 level 5 guns. I found the drake very maneuverable

I personally like the Dagger very much. with its 360 degree turrent you basically get a 5th gun, so I set it up with 3 guns and 2 missle launchers. That's alot of firepower for as 17k fighter. too bad the power level only goes up to 4, or I'd fly it all the time.

the dagger is good, but not very manuverable..... I believe that the starflyer is the most manuverable light fighter, although the ship descripstions imply that the corsair LF is the most maneuverable.
