Mission 3: Defending Convoys

While trying to defend the convoys, there are like 20 enemies ships shooting at me with missiles. After trying everything I could and still dying, I finally decided to use cheats. And now the convoys are getting blown up everytime before I can get a chance to kill all the enemies. I can't seem to defend them at all with so many enemies around me constantly. How did you guys beat this part of the mission?

i beat that part of the mission without cheats in a default starflyer with an advanced starbeam and stunpulse. of course i lost both wings and all my nanobots and shields. so i went back, purchased a heavy fighter, pimped it out, and retried.

I have found a good way to take them out is to use shield damaging guns on the ships and the pop them with a quick missile.

i bought a defender and the enemys are outcasts so they have positron based shields. i used justice bla bla bla ( sorry forget the exact name) cannons and lavablades and i used a positron shild, with this equipment it was no problem to kill them all. WITHOUT cheats ;-)

lol, did that one in a rogue mule with a mixture of Xeno, junker, and rogue weapons.. Adv Scorpians, Barragers. Badriel turrets. Great loadout. even took a load of H-Fuel to sell @ Willard, lol. That is one kicking Mule.

that mission was SO making me mad. got a defender and did a bunch of missions before going into it. full load of wardog mines, 50 imp countermeasures, 14 nano/shield, 5x justice mk3, 1x justice mk2 turrett, heavy thruster, best shields i could find. barely made it =
