Most lucrative options?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Most lucrative options?

So far, the best way to make money I've found is to go to Hamburg (Planet Hamburg) and pick up a load of diamonds for about C400 or so, then fly to New Tokyo (there's a jump hole from Hamburg to Sigma 13 that cuts out the extra 5-6 waypoints from Frankfurt) and then sell them for a whopping C1650.

My Order Heavy Fighter can carry 70 cargo units and I make about C87,500 off of every run.

I decided to buy a freighter in New Hamburg so I could carry 275 units which should yield about C343,750!!! A couple runs like that and I'll have enough money for a long time. Then I can get a nice Reihnland heavy fighter and smack around some bad guys in true Freelancer fashion.

Freiburg Station, Stuttgart, which is only a system over from Hamburg (I think) sells diamonds for $308/unit. I think that's the cheapest diamonds go for.

Nope, the LWB base in Stuttgart sells them for $285. It's a bit off the beaten path and I'm not sure $25/unit is worth the trip. However, I haul Luxury Consumer goods to Baden Baden so it's on the way back (kind of).
