stuck on lvl 18 after finishing SP

ok ive completed the wonderfull SP of the game (a bit short but very entertaining) and i found a job like juni told me too. my next lvl objective was "mission" so i took some random missions and looked at my stats agian. now i have to loose money to get to be lvl 19!!! im worth 109232 and i have to get 89527!! soo i lost a lot of money by bribing but now i have t earn monet again.. i dont get it. i should have been lvl 19 twice by now.

any help/explanation is welcome

After the SP missions, the "next level requirement" thing is how much more money you have to make, not the net worth you need to get to the next level.
