Cheesy way to smuggle

I found this in the demo. I got the cardamine from the Flint (I got the level 50 hack) and I went to Manhattan. Near the Military Academy, I encountered a navy patrol which scanned my cargo. I was asked to drop the cargo. I DIDN'T accepted nor refused. I just kept the dialog box opened and proceeded to the nearest tradeline to Manhattan. When I was near the planet, the dialog box dissapeared. My reputation with the navy didn't change nor they went after me.
Also this works when the rogues ask you to drop the cargo: hit cruise mode untill the window where they ask you to drop the cargo dissapears.

Cheesy way.

Heh, I thought it was just an isolated case when I bypassed it. Though I was pretty near a jump gate.

here is another way, dont use the trade lanes, at the very least you will be stopped at the docking ring, and keep ure cruise engines on for as long as you can

LoL, reminds me of the time when I played WCrivateer... just jettison the contraband before the cops fininsh talking then tractor it in when you're cleared.

hmm that hasn't worked for me, they give me like 10 seconds to answer, and if not, they automatically assume that you aren't dropping. then open fire.
of course when that has happened, i was too far from any dock or trade lane so i had to devise a NEW scheme. as soon as you hear the cops/pirates 'start' talking, hit f7 and jettison your cargo b4 they finish talking. then click ok to drop. they never picked up the cargo, and i re tractored it and took off.
