Anyone completed the single player story?

Hi,

I thought i had completed the SP story, you goto the nomad world, blow the thingy up, they all get sucked in, you go back to NY and Orillion says he wants you to be a spy for the order, and Juni says to go do some missions.

I assumed this was the end of the story, but I've heard from someone that it is not, you apparnetly have to earn 500,00 in the NY system, by doing missions!? they only give about $2000, that will take a while.

Does the story really continue, or is someone pulling my leg?

Since its Microsoft, I'd say, the get some cash part, is just setup for an expasion. ALMOST every game they develop/Publish, that sells well, ends up with an expasion or sequel :

eg.
Mechwarrior Series
The 'Age' Games Series
The Close Combat Series
Asheron's Call
The 'Flight' Simulator series (both Combat and Original)
And even Starlancer, to name a few.(LONG list)

This would explain why they cut out some features. To keep enough stuff to encourage sells for it. And we KNOW that Freelancer will Sell well. There are enough Space Sim Geeks (myself included

) in this world.

It would also explan why they don't want to give out the SDK. But if they do give it, it would mean they are to lazy to make it and are leaving it to the mod community.

hey i was wondering does the story continue???

I blew up the Nomads homeworld thingy and thats all well and good but i did that in under 9 hours of gameplay according to my little stats page. Im only level 20 anyway so what gives?

is there more story to come or am i just running around doing missions for no reason?

Yes, I agree... I didnt even get an end-credits page... I'd really think that there's more.. heh.. dunno...

I just hope there's more.. fly with Juni and King again.

Anyhow, I'm not too sure about that SDK-Conspiracy-Theory... They're just afraid that they'll have to get into all the trouble to make user-friendly SDK tools, and then find out that basically no-one uses them. :-S

Kinda like Dungeon Siege.
