Escape from Tekagi''s base..nightmare..

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Escape from Tekagi''s base..nightmare..

I finally got into Tekagis base (after *4* times being destroyed when docking and having to do it all over again). No I launch out and they tell me it will be smooth sailing.. Great I think to myself... But then boom theres Rheinlanders in front of us, and I've got 0 shield/nanos and 2 of my 6 guns are down. I get destroyed pretty quick everytime I try. Any ideas? I really wish they would have uploaded a few nanos to me, this seems impossible. I'm in a Baracuda.

Help!

If what you are saying tekagi is a base then at least there must be an equipment dealer around and if i'm certain you must be lvl 2 and up so you've got some cash so let it be repaired and nano/shield-batt's are only 200 bucks

Tekagi's base is in the single player game.. you dock for the mission but you cant buy anything, and then you leave and cant board again.

Hit your thrusters, flail around like mad trying to avoid all fire, engage cruise engines. Pray.

I did that mission using a Dragon. T'was pretty easy, and also had advanced thrusters (think i got them in the California system). Take your time and make sure your ship is well equipped for such an onslaught, 'cuz from here on it'll only get worse.

Again, use thrusters and do a circling pattern towards your intended target location. Shots will hit you about 10% of the time

I actually just finished the game last night. This mission wasn't that hard. I can't remember what ship i had i think it was the barracuda (70k+ ship) unless you could get the anubis by then. I can't remember, but its not hard, just use your afterburners a lot (i got advanced thrusters so they last longer) to dodge enemy fire. Go head to head when you got the shield and then just back off and dodge the fire when your shield runs out, usually afterburners go down to somwhere around 70% and then the shields will come back on (won't be full though)

From the sounds of it, your ship is pretty beat up. I suggest loading an early save and going thru the mission again with the following pointers:

1) During the first wave, keep to the outside of the main fight and avoid the battel as much as possible. Your teamates will soon bring the number of enemies down drasticly and you can then rejoin the fray and help mop up while keeping your bats & bots farily high.

2) Dont engage ANY ships at the arch. Cruise/burn straight to the top of the arch and use your reverse engines and side thrusters to move side to side while you pound the shield generators. Ignore the fighers and concentrate on getting into the base (only use you bats & bots if you have to) I found that if I didn't engage the other fighters, only one or 2 would try to hit you while flying by.

If you have your ship in better condition with some more supplies, you should be able to survive the escape easily. Again, just avoid the combat as much as possible when it first starts. Wait until the odds are more even then pick out a damaged ship to pick on. You're wingmen will pretty much win the battles by themselves if you give them enough time.
