The Anubis can't cloak and it's an above average mid range ship. I'm pretty sure all the cloaking ships in the SP cut scenes were Valks (tho, I'm playing the PR Beta....could have changed). In SP with this version, the Kyoto is in the Chugoku system and sells the Stilleto. It could also have been changed to the Hawk (as mentioned above). From what I gather in this forum, the Anubis may not be a purchasable ship in the MP game (unless there is an Order base that I am unaware of, and that is very possible). You cannot find the Osiris in SP after the missions (since it get's blown to hell).

EDIT: My bad....someone just let me know the Osiris is in Manhattan after the SP missions are up ??? I'll need to check that out myself.

The anubis really sucks, in my opinion. You're much better off with something like the Baracuda- much smaller profile, same shielding and you can actually dog fight with it.

well that would be kinda weird would it cuz the order attacks the rheinland cruiser and the only order ship is the anubis

I went back to Manhattan and looked around a bit and couldn't find the Osiris. There is a battleship now docked IN one of the bays at the Norfolk Shipyard (didn't notice it before), but nothing indicates it's the Osiris (that I saw) and you couldn't dock with it (that I could find). If it's in Manhattan and you can dock with it, anybody know where?

Once you finish the single player story and say you had the Anubis at one point but ditched it for another ship there is no way to get it back again after the story part is over right?

Well, in my opinion, the anubis is an alright ship, though it doesnt deserve the title "very heavy fighter" ( in my opinion ). It isnt very manuevrable, and your much better off with a Barracuda for those missions. When you can buy an eagle, titan or sabre I havent seen the hammerhead though. I dont know what its like!

It'd be nice to be able to get the Anubis - I haven't found anywhere in SP where you can get it after you've finished the plot - I made a mistake in selling mine for a rhino once I'd finished the story... hauling cargo was interesting, but it wasn't first encounters.

So, if anyone does know if the Outcasts are hiding somewhere, and you can pick one up post plot, it would be nice to know, as a stagingpoint for players who had hauled freight, and didn't want to follow everyone else just yet.

Besides, taking on some Nomad ships in a craft that's not buffed to the eyeballs has a nice sense of danger, no?

The Anubis is a good ship considering you can sell the one you have, maxout the Anubis when you can get it fo CHEAP. This means you have plenty of money left over to repair and refit the ship between missions. Also I am pleased it is NOT the best ship or really close. This gives you something left to work for when the SP game is over. Otherwise the game is over, you have the best ship available, the universe is all nice and safe. Time to retire. Instead I am going save up for a good cargo ship, become a trader for a while until I can get a better fighter, then go bring the law to all those evil bandits. Show the Navy and Police how to do their jobs.

I'm sure it would be an easy mod to put the Anubis back in the game for sale somewhere since it's already in the game code. Someone did it for the demo and you could buy the Anubis at Rochester so I don't see why it can't be donw for the full game also.

referring to the question about why we'd want the sabre instead of the titan, here's the answer, ready ready? TITANS SUCK, in every single aspect. except the 2000 armor it's crap... might as well label it a freighter ship without the extra cargo space. Sabre has forward turret much more manuverability, not to mention cost less. not to mention it doesn't look like a bird that got flattened by a car.

No kidding, the Titan is like flying a brick and it's butt ugly besides that. I hate it that the Titan and the Hammerhead and some other put the turret in the back so you can only fire it in turret mode at enemies behind you. Who the hell flies a fighter in turret mode? The Sabre doesn't have this problem and is the best ship in the game in my opinion, and being the best looking doesn't hurt either
