[newbie How does mining work?

Hi there,

On the map I can see that some areas are "minable". What does this mean and how can I make money out of it?

When in the area (usually asteroid field or something) just shoot the rocks.
Not the big ones, but the small ones that keeps flying fast.
I found that about 29/30 is empties so it takes patience and time.
just keep pressing "B" while blasting.

I tried mining for a while... but most rock is empty... ><

so.. anyone know which mine field is good? by good.. i mean.. good reward.. like mine gold..or expensive items..

dont tell me to mine water or oxygen... hehehe

Schwefelnebel in the Dresden system for diamonds...
Its located slightly to the east from Bautzel Station
