From what I have read, you must scrounge around old ships and junk and rocks ect.

you can only buy ships that have class 10 "slots", class 10 shield and... i think that's it... guns/turrets/missiles etc can only be found on wrecks.... haven't seen a class 10 missile though... not even a class 10 turret... only guns... a lot of them though...

hehe, sorry, but i just couldn't resist... actually they're all over the place... look for hints in bars [maybe for a price or just random nebulas and asteroid fields... i belive most of them are in the borderlands but i'm not sure... but if you think you can stand against a couple of waves of nomads, go into omicron alpha or gamma... in the middle of their nebulas are same wrecks and a jumphole... and nomads keep poppin out... defeat a couple of them and you may get some nice gunns...

Were any of those Blue Blaze, Dark Blossom, Golden Blade or Wild Fire?

I'm seekign the locations of these 4

Mostly in the border worlds.... Omega Tau 37 has the dark blossom this can be found on the griffin wreck (exaclty on D2/E2) square.. only remember that one as I wanted to swap my Titan for a sabre so was passing it... :0)
