that's the one I use. you make 44,000 credits with a cheap 125 cargo freighter. and it's only 2 jumps apart.

edit: btw, what do the colors next to the commodities mean? I bought some luxury food with a green box figuring it was a good deal (all of the expensive stuff had a red box next to it). So i took it to a planet where the color was red but it sold for less.

Not sure, but I figure this

on your left (your inventory), green indicates how great the selling price is (ie. if it's green you get a great price selling it). On your right, green indicates how good a buying price it is (ie. green indicates it sells cheaply here, red is expensive).
So - buy green, sell green. Don't buy red and don't sell red.

I might be WAAAAY off here though. Please tell me if I am.

in the rheinhardsystem .. newberlin i think you buy lots and lots of diamonds and then u sell it in new tokey like i tihnk you buy em for 133 $ or somehing like that and u sell em for 1300 $ but its like 31 jumps but i found a shortcut somwhere you nkow those alienjump holes u come like 1 system over new tokyo
so i made 4 runs and now i got 500 000

That route directly can be done shorter than via sigma etc, it's only 4 systems as it is.

If you go via sigma/omicron etc, there are no Trade Lanes, so overall it's less jumps but slower.

ouh cool but its just one probl. i dont know where sigma and omk. is havent found im im on my way to omi alpha to buy a saber but i dont know how to get there goit directions from sigma 13 but i dont know where that is either :/

Concerning the colorcodes at the goods when buying/selling.. make sure you have tooltips enabled in the options and hover your cursor over the red/green/yellow box. A popup will appear telling you what it stands for.
