attacking cargo ships

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

attacking cargo ships

how come if a ship is carrying say 5000 water, when you kill it you get around 2 water?

Most of the cargo is destroyed by the huge explosion of the ship.

I wonder if anyone has tried "slow destruction". By that I mean shooting a transport with only one blast every second (one one thousand). This might give the transport some incentive to jettison the cargo.

I wonder because I attacked Flint real slow and it dumped 18 caradmine into space for me.

Flint was a derelict vessel with a lot of hull breaches. All you had to do was to give it a litte bump and all the cargo fell out of it. Unfortunately it's not possible to damage active ship in this way.

That would be fun to try. Also maybe if you kill the transports first and then knock the cargo ship down to almost nothing and wait a minut or even try to hail them and see if they dump cargo.

I quit blowing away transports because it was too easy and I felt sorry for them. It's one thing to get rid of some punk in a fighter who's trying to do you in, but killing those transports is just mean.

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

been trying to suck up to bundschuh - blowing up kruger and dauman transporters was the easiest way (don't know why but xenos just didn't cut it with bundschuh)... i had to blow up some 10 - 15 trains, don't know how many escorts and around 50 humpbacks... imagine all the diamons floationg around, since i had limited cargo space...

"look, ma! those sparkly things in the sky!! are those stars??" - "no, son... those are diamonds!"

you can shoot the supplies off of heavy transports, causing more supplies to drop and the transport to remain intact (less reputation loss)

TheSilentCartographer is right, simply shoot off the cargo tanks that are usually below transports or space trains.
