Mapping

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Mapping

@Stinger:

You said most jumpholes are automatically mapped if you get withing a certain range yet:

Not all jump holes are identifiable tho, keep this in mind!

Question:
1. Does that mean that some jumpholes are forever unmappable, even though you traversed the jumphole, and that you have to take notes/make physical maps to track their location?

2. Are there other locations that are unmappable?

I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that.

answer to No 1 - yes, from what I've seen some jump holes are unmappable. This means they do not ever have a text tied to them indicating what they really are. In flight, they show up as "unknown objects." Some jump holes (not very many from what I've experienced) like this do show up on the NAV map. They have no text, just a sort of a color indicator that it's a jump ho. BUt some actually do not even show on your Nav map if you can believe that! You really have to just "know" from being there before or actually have you're own notes written down to find them again. This is one of the most awesome parts of FL I've seen bar none.

answer to No 2 - believe it or not, it's possible. The fact that some worm holes act like I described above means it's very possible and I wouldn't put it past DA to throw in a thing or two like that.
