Space debris in Texas, sector 4E

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Space debris in Texas, sector 4E

I've checked this before in the wreckage list and don't appear, so I post it here, just to know what it's (if there's more than a pile of orbiting junk).

Well, I was exploring the texas system, in direction the "lonely" planet wich it's near the New York jump hole when by accident enter in the radiation damage area of the star. I keep the course, as some radiation it's not so dangerous and I was crossing the zone when I saw a strange metal structure in the middle of nothing. I approache to take a closer look:

From other angle:

The nav map showing where I was:

I tried to target it and even tractor it (no ask why I thought that structure would fit in a Anubis cargo hold :p), and I was wondering if that pile of metal it was more than a pile of metal. Sorry if this stuff it's repeated, and thanks for the answers

Most like that are just junk, old stations and not salvageable.

I think that if you check on your nav map, you may get a question mark choice there as well - which clicking on it will give you the information about the field/area. It will mention a abandoned/destroyed base from some accident wayyyy back in the day (or something, it has been a long time since I read it).

Nah, it's not a wreckage, in the system map does not appear any mark, so it looks like to be a simple pile of orbiting junk.

Just a question about the wreckages: There's any hint ingame about where are them, or you have to explore any sector of any system?

I've seen that before, I think that's supposed to be part of the experimental Jump Gate or something. (Read some of the rumors on Houston and you'll know what I'm talking about. )
