You can find a BLUEBLAZE (I think) just a few clicks from the New Berlin jumphole in Sigma-13. Its located in sector C5. There's several Old Imperial Navy Fighter wrecks there. Personally you're better off getting a couple of Skyblasts (Lvl 9) from Gas Miner Naha. You can also get a *Good* level 9 turret of the same name there.
Remember - ALL the codename weapons have a refire rate of 2 (two)/second and gobble LOTS of energy. You're much better off finding level 9 weapons with refire rates of 5/second or better.
If you're really desperate then go to the Nomad world jumphole in the Outcast system; pop through and kill a few Nomads and get their weapons - they don't use any energy. I also think the game gets obnoxious at that point - its just no longer fair or fun when you can't run out of 'bullets' or when you can't die.
As far as shields - your best one is on Crete or tripoli shipyard. So far as I know, there's no level 10 shield in the game. Its advertised but I think the game developers were under pressure to 'get the game out' and just didn't finish a few things.

Thanks for the advice but I really like doing 1000 damage per shot, thanks for the location. BTW, WILDFIRE does 3.03 shots per second, still slow, I know, but still doing 1500 damage p/second p/gun is good stuff

the 2 biggest damage 10s are diamondback in sig 13 and cerberus in the top right of omicron alpha to te right of the unknown sys hole
the energy drain is huge vbest 9 is kraken 2 from ruiz in beta only a bit better than a sky b

Level 10 shields exist, the may be purchased from the Corsair and Outcast Homeworlds (Positron only). Lvl 9 molecular and below may be purchased from high-end Freeports. Lvl 8 Graviton free with a titan, level 7 and below in Kusari.
