New jump hole found with planets and nomads!!

I dont' know how relevant to the game history files on this site this will be but I found more nomads after I beat the game!!!

I was in Omicron Gamma and had just finished 2 freelance missions for the Zoners at Freeport 9 back in Omicron Theta. One of the zoners gave me coordinates to an "Unknown Jump Hole" in Omicron Gamma at sector 2F. So, naturally I plotted out the course and went there.

The jump hole was HEAVILY guarded by corsair Titans. My shields were at 30% by the time I dropped my cruise engines and entered the jump hole.

When I came out the other side I was in an "Unknown System" that looked like I was inside of the cardboard tube of a roll of paper towels. I immediately noticed that I had NOMADS on my radar!!!! I freaked out because I thought they were GONE with the end of the game!! But apparently not! I lit up my cruise engines and made a bee-line towards the "Unknown planet" in the distance that I could see.

As I got closer I noticed the strange asteroid field that I was flying through. They were all like spikes and lined up in a nice grid pattern which made it very easy to just fly through without hitting anything. The planet turned out to be some robot planet named "Gammu" that had a very peculiar docking ring that had no voice or attendant. The landing sequence movie for this planet was about twice as long as the other stations or planets in the game. Once I landed I noticed that no one would help me and that the whole base was populated by robots that seemed to have met me before. The bar was full of robots that somehow knew me even though I had never been there before!! They all would tell me nothing and give me no leads because I was not on friendly terms. The only thing that I can guess is that they were of the Order or of the Nomads. The equipment dealer wouldn't sell me anything and I couldn't get any jobs so I left the planet to explore.

The next planet that I found was named "Primus" with a "Monkey Docking ring"!!!
When I landed the landing sequence for this planet was normal length like usual. When I got to the bar THERE WERE ALL MONKEYS in there!!!! I was like "WHAT THE HECK!?!?!?"
None of the monkeys would give me any info or work because I wasn't on friendly terms with Samura Industries. They also would not sell me any equipment.

After leaving planet primus I decided to fly around the unknown system and see if I found anything. I didn't find anything useful but I did get attacked by nomads! So I lit up my cruise engines and ran back to the jump hole. I barely made it to the jump hole with any shields left. As I came out the other side I used one of my last 3 shield batteries and almost immediately I'm GETTING ATTACKED BY NOMADS!!! They followed me back through the portal!! I was left with no choice but to kill them. When I did (Barely) I noticed that one dropped a weapon!! I tractored it in but I have yet to use it for fear of being stopped by the police. For now I'm keeping it in my cargo hold and getting back to a friendly
system.

My plan now is to go back to the regular liberty system and get REEEEAAAL friendly with Samura Industries and then fly back out to planet primus and see what they sell there and what info I can get from the "Monkeys".

I won't spoil anything for you, but remember to search every sector thoroughly whilst playing to make sure you find everything - and enjoy of course

Never as awesome as the first time, is it? It comes pretty close, sometimes. There'll always be some little thing that you never pick up on until it just *wam* hits you one day while you're flying around.

BTW, see if you can spot the in-joke behind Planet Gammu. The devs had a reason for naming and populating it the way they did...it isn't quite as obvious as the shamelessness of the Planet Primus reference, but it is there.

im glad to know you found finding the unkown system a pleasure.
however, many of us knew about it.
and maybe this should go to the spoilers section?
some people might not have found this system yet.

robbio, if you find a planet called manhatten, im surprised. i only got to find a planet called manhattan.

Hey, all of this was new for everyone at some point or another. It's good that some people are still out there buying this game and finding stuff, or it'd get real stuffy real quick around here.

Hey, i still remember the day i discovered the unkown hole. I remember it was like yesterday. I will always remember it, something that changed my life forever! Okay, so it wasnt like that, but it was still really cool!! Glad u found it M8!
