Denied Jump Hole

Denied Jump Hole

I was exploring around Dublin on a MP server tonight and found a jump hole to Leeds. When I tried to dock with it I was told "Dock Denied". Never had that happen with a jump hole before. I am going to check the rumors around there. Has this ever happened to anyone before? It is possibly well known and I just have not played the game long enough to have seen it. Although on this server I have discovered around 65 jump holes. This is the first time I have ever been denied one.

BTW this is an unmodded server and I, of course, have not run any mods MP or SP for that matter.

There are several jump holes/gates that are locked once you finish the story. I can remember:

Chugoku -> Tohoku
Hokkaido -> Tohoku
Leeds -> Dublin
Cambridge -> Leeds (I think)
Magellan -> Leeds
New York -> Alaska

Might be more, I can't remember.

That's interesting. I suppose that Ioncross can unlick those in MP if the server wants?

Remember this is MP I am talking about. It would seem the same holds true.

Oh FYI Leeds Cambridge I was able to use.

I've never had any probs with those jumps on my server.maybe u do have to use ioncross to unlock them

i always thought that MP locks all story based jh's and jg's

The New York in-system jump is also denied in multiplayer.
Other denied jumps:
Chugoku <-> Sigma 13
Frankfurt <-> Hamburg (one of the two)
New Berlin <-> Sigma 13

Not for me, just checked with two different unmodded client / server combos.

Well,that'd suggest Vanilla server's have them locked (and i'm talking pure Vanilla,the sys-op hasn't used ioncross to open alaska etc).Shame,i know some good trade/pirate runs thru some of those

and like a phoenix i'll return from the ashes....with the help of the re-spawn key

I have used the New York Magellan Gate many times in SP after the storyline and in MP. So I am sure that one works. I will look at the others as I run across them.

WHat are you talking about. I've used Leeds->Magellan follwoing the story. In fact, I've utilized many of these "locked" Jh's, and only 2 don't function Alaska JG and Tohuku JH's (my game is unmodded, SP).
