A wee bit of help

hey guys, ive clocked freelancer, SWEET GAME, well when i say clocked i mean beaten all of the story line missions, still got a lot more to go with the individual missions, anyway, i wanna upgrade, i got the Anubis.. yea, its an Alright Fighter you know, same old same old, Now what i plan to do is go and get a Humpback from new berlin and start the new berlin-new tokyo Diamond run straight away, and get a bit of cash, from there, once i have enough cash, i plan to go get the hammerhead or the Eagle, i know the eagle is in freeport 9, but i dunno where freeport 9 is or who owns it, thats a bit of the help i need, but here is the main part.. after i do that, i want to get a sabre, now, i wanna get it from vogtland base, home of the red hessians, now problem time, the hessians hate me, so how do i get into the base to buy my ship, i assume that i will have to kill some people that the hessians dont like yes, but who would the best people to kill be and how much of them should i kill, i dont care who i kill really, because i can always go back to killing evil people, so yes, thats my question, who do i kill to get access to the hessians main base (vogtland) oh, and another thing i was wondering about, insted of killing people, is there someone i can pay in a bar to hack my records so the hessians will like me? so i dont have to go to the trouble of killing people, and if that is a way, then who should i go and see for that and where, well thats it, sorry if this topic came off a little noobish but i just want some help, any will be appreciated.

Freeport 9 is in Omicron Theta, and is owned by the Zoners. Check arbiter.de if you get lost.

You can pick up a Hessian bribe at Freeport 1 in Omega-3, that's probably the easiest to get to. Bear in mind that at full hostility a bribe will cost you $150,000.

edit: if when you land the bartender doesn't offer you a Hessian bribe, just launch and land again. Eventually he'll have one.

so i assume to get the house police and companys to like me again after i take the bribe would be to... kill evil people, or is there another bribe i can take?

When you take the bribe, you'll become less friendly with Rheinland Police, Military and Corporations. However, if you're only after the Sabre, you can start killing Hessians once you've bought it to get friendly with the "good" guys again.

Okay then, now how hard will this be to get from Omicron-3 to dresden, passing through 3 systems, or should i pick up a fighter and then go to dresden? or should i be safe just going through the conventional route, but i just thought to myself then, if im nor friendly with the 'evil' people, shouldent i be able to go through jump holes, you know like the worm holes out in space? to get to dresden?

If you go Omega-3 -> Omega-> 7 -> Omega-11 -> Dresden, you shouldn't have much trouble. You'll need to watch out for Corsairs in Omega-7, but the Hessians control most of 11 so you'll be fine there. Plus, if you take the jump hole from Omega-11 to Dresden, it brings you out fairly near to Vogtland.

LOL i used to do that run in my anubis the rest of that story is EXACTLY the same as yours.....

( it made me about 100.000 if i remember correctly.... ( in a humpback ))

Get yourself a Dromedary, biggest cargo space. Buy it from Mactan in Magellan. If you're hostile to the Lane Hackers, get a Humpback instead. Anyway, since you're getting a Hessian bribe anyway...

Diamonds @ Freital Base -> Planet New Tokyo
Engine Components @ Planet New Tokyo -> Planet New London
Beryllium @ Kensington Shipping Platform -> The Ring

Then buy Diamonds on New Berlin this time and repeat. Something in the order of $900,000 profit, for about 20 minutes' work.

ahh well, to late now, i did 2 runs New berlin to new Tokyo(in a humpback i bought from New berlin), $400k a run (give or take $50k) went to Freistadt Base, Omega-7, bought myself a hammerhead (my god i hated that Humpback, so slow... and the Crappest Turning ever conseivable) anyway, got a hammerhead, checked in Freistadt base for a bribe (the bribe FAQ thing told me there would be one there) well there wasent, so i went there about 10 times then went the originally planned Freeport 1, Omega-3, went in and out about 20 times, flew around for a bit, came back did it about another 15 and just as i was about to call it a day, hello mr. bartender, Oh why yes i would like to have you hack the red hessians for $145k, so there was some serious 'w00tage' in order, then after the 'w00tage' i checked my player Stats, and nobody hated me that much, all that happened is that the rhineland police/military went to nuetural,the LWB liked me a bit more (still hate me though) and the Corsairs hates me more now (but the corsairs suck the nuttys ^_^) so anyway, went to Vogtland Base, had a look around, bought my ship the ever Sweet Saber and yea... thats pretty much it, now im off to look at the wepons section of this site, or forum, whatever it is, and find some good weapons to stick on it, any help with that also would be appreciated.

Ahh, the classic Loadout question.

Unfortunately for you, the Corsairs are hostile. You should work on getting them friendly again, because one of their weapons, the Tizona Del Cid, is quite possibly one of the most useful weapons in the game. Anyway, some staple gun configurations: (assume all have Ripper Mines, Adv. Countermeasures and either the Hornet or Sunslayer, that's down to personal preference)

1x TDC
1x Cannonball Missile/Salamanca Mk II
4x Nomad Blaster

Straight down the middle, no nonsense firepower. Use the Salamanca if you don't have the funds to finance a Cannonball habit. However, if you don't want to use Class 10s:

2x TDC
4x Wyrm 2/Kraken 2/Salamanca Mk II/Skyblast B (your choice)

This one's a little lower down the Class ladder, but it's easy to use:

2x TDC
4x Sunfrenzy 2

But, as with most aspects of Freelancer, the key is experimentation. Explore, find out which weapons suit your style. For example, do you like the heavy hitting Plasma weapons, the fast Photon weapons, or the tachyon and neutron weapons somewhere in the middle? Just experiment.

well now..
im gunna go expolre the Omicron Alpha/Beta and Sigma-17 Regions, primarly cause i wanna have a look at the Hispania as well as the Hawaii, anyway, ive got it all worked out, but the thing is, those systems are heavily Criminal Systems Outcasts and Corsairs, so ive come to the conculsion that one must go and get 2 more bribes.

im hoping to get a Corsair bribe from the hawaii, but the thing is, no idea where the hawaii is, ive heared E5 and E6, so im geussing look around there, or does it move between those 2 Posistions?

and now the Outcasts bribe from:
Gas Miner Naha, Sigma-13
Helgoland Station, Sigma-13
or
Akta Station, Sigma-17

oh and i cant forget to mention this unknown system, i wanna go their as well.

Also the Hispania's Posistion is... D6?

now to what you were saying about the loadout, there are 2 things this little trip could be usefull for... the TDC Weapon, from the corsairs
and the Nomad Blasters, From.... (im hopeing you can help me with that as well)
and i think this is the last question, Why get a Blaster, when i can get a Cannon, or is the Nomad Cannon harder To come by opposed to the Blaster?

The Hawaii is in Sigma 19, not 17.

Corsair bribes can be found all over the place. Try Freeport 5 or 9, in Omega 41 and Omicron Theta respectively. Outcast bribes...I'm not sure, I've never taken one. Try Freeport 10 in Tau-37, that's near their territory.

The Hispania is at the centre of 6D in Omicron Alpha. You can't miss it. The Hawaii is orbiting Planet Hiran in sector 6E. Equally, you can't miss it.

For Nomad Blasters and Cannons, you have to be level 34 and kill Nomads. You can go and find them in sector 4F, Omicron Alpha and 2F, Omicron Gamma. There you'll find jump holes which take you to Nomad systems. The reason I recommended the Blaster is that it's easier to use. The Cannon does slightly more damage (30 per second, or thereabouts), but the Blaster has a better refire rate, and they both use zero energy

thanks for the rest of the info, oh and any ideas on how i can get the cash to upgrade to the next level whilst in my sabre? or is the best thing to do is go and get a humpback again? (i hate the Humback)

Go tractor in some of the Class 10s from the wrecks in Sigma-13. They'll boost your level in no time.
