What should i do?!

Take in mind i havent completed the story yet, so bear with me. Ive heard all over i should make friends with the outcasts. This is difficult, considering ive only got a Rhino at the moment , but i was wondering, should i attempt to make friends during, or after story mode? Any opinions on this would be appreciated

Therefore you do not take a decision whether to become friends with the outcasts within the story or later.

well now its been moved I can answer. Don't bother getting them safe until you have finished the story line. As at the end of the story line the Reps are all reset back to the defaults, so you would have to start all over again getting them safe.
