my understanding is that they are spoilers. you won't get any joy on those planets unfortunately i suppose however they are at least part of the exploration and without giving too much away you can tractor in some new toys when you destroy the local vermin then again, like so topics in FL that particular loot is another conversation all together.

these are indeed spoilers... but I'm sure seeing as your a newbie the moderators won't mind if I tell you...

to get to the unknown systems there are jump holes in the Outcast and Corsair home systems Omicron ***** and Omicron ***** (I won't reveal for the sake of others)...

but your not missing anything special, except the best weapons in the game lol...

The Unknown systems aren't "for" anything, unless you count getting Nomad weapons. Although it's fun to fly around online with a couple of people just chatting and blowing up Nomads when they appear

If you know where they are, and you know what planets are there (I presume you've been there) then what is the point of this thread?

all i used the planets for was my quest to rid the game of nomad. to bad there's an infanent suplly of those guys

That would be quite funny, if you could completely obliterate factions by beating them up enough...my FL would have no BHG, Samura or Hessians, to name but a few
