Relationships with factions ?

Hi guys,

I know you can become friendlier with factions by doing missions for them; but what about selling goods to them at their bases ? Does that help, if so, should you sell the good they are buying ?

Also, let's say I get a mission against the Rouges, if I kill four of them in the mission is it the same as if I found four of them in space and killed them without a mission ?

I was attacking the Bounty Hunters and became neutral with the criminals but I had a hard time making money because I couldn't take any missions, except maybe those against the Xenos which were hard to come by.

Any guidance is appreciated.

I'm not sure if this topic is allowed in this thread..it will be moved if it is not.
As far as I know selling goods to factions do not affect your reputation at all.
Only killing their enemies and bribing does.
Then no matter where you kill the enemies it will have an effect on your reputation.

You are right selling goods does not effect your rep in any way. Killing thier enemies and bribes are the only ways that I know............

Selling and buying doesn't affect rep.

Taking a mission and killing 4 enemies will have the same effects as killing the same 4 enemies outside of a mission. However, when the mission is completed, there are positive effects on the faction you took the mission from.
