Regarding the Coalition Returning

OK, it has come to my attention that several people have been making topics and asking questions about the Coalition returning. So I am on the spoiler forum now, so I will tell you this right now. There is no more Coalition. After the Alliance Sleeper Ships left Earth for the Sirius system, the Coalition destroyed all remaining Alliance bases. All except for Pluto. Just before the Coalition assault got underway on Pluto, an alien ship jumped in. Many people here at TLR think they were the Nomads, but it was the Dom Kavash. They fired a large energy blast at the sun, causing it to go all supernova. It destroyed all planets except for Pluto, where one person survived, his name was Aticias Rockford. But anyway, back to the point. The Coalition was destroyed by the Dom Kavash along with the remaining Alliance forces.

My point is, the Coalition was destroyed and will never return. There is nothing left of the Coalition except for a few ruins on Pluto and some hulls in outer space.

Can I please get a Moderator to sticky this, and maybe lock it so this won't bring on another discussion. Please and Thank-you.

Ok ok, I dont mean to sound rude or anything but...Im going to set you straight

The Sol system was not destroyed by the Nomads or the Dom Kavosh. Most of us have seen that intro movie and alot of people have taken it the wrong way. There is a good reason why some things are dropped from games. The destruction of Sol at the hands of the games main baddies is a start.
Basically, screw what is in that Intro and focus on what is in the game you bought.

Unless after 800 years in Sol the Coalition managed to kill themselves off, died through massive resource depletion, overcrowding ect there is nothing to suggest they no longer exist

So yea, maybe the Coalition will come back. Maybe they wont. Maybe they ARE all dead. But one thing is certain, they werent exterminated by the Nomads or the Dom Kavosh. Why?
Becuase what the hell has Sol getting blown up got to do with the problems in Sirius? Nothing what so smegging ever.

Uhh...if that was OTT Im sorry...havent posted in a while and Im cranky...

OK, look, if you want to discuss this then open you your own topic. I made this in hopes of informing Newbs that the chances of the Coalition returning is about one billion to one. I was hoping this would not bring on another discussion, and so please, let this be the last post.

Killa, remember, posting a topic invites discussion. Also note, that the story line that was written, was done so by the author. It is fiction and like any other fiction, can be guessed at as to what it could mean. Either way, has no bearing on the game.

i always thought it was cut from the game and therefore the intro isn't part of the game. So we don't know what happened to the Coalition.
After all, having the nomads blow up an entire system makes them way too powerful.

What about a coalition return mod?

That'd be cool if I ever figure out how to mod and how to script more missions (If it's even possible.)

They didn't just blow up the system. They fired some sort of enegry blast into the sun that made it go all supernova, the sun exploding is what did away with all the planets exept for Pluto.

If they haven't reached Sirius in 800 years, I would say they're dead. Or they started colonizing in the other direction. Or some enemy poped up between Sirius and Sol. The possibilities are endless. Maybe the coalition had to leave Sol sector because of some crisis, or maybe they ran out of materials, or maybe they transended to another plane of existance, or maybe they found a wormhole to another galaxy. Who the h**l knows, until they reappear? And who say's the coalition would still be hostile toward the alliance, it's been over 800 years right?

ok, well i say there should be a mod made for the return of the Coalition...or maybe just a new end mission where a couple of ships pop up

that would really make people anxious for a sequal (if its EVER coming...)

Some time ago their was an advert for the future WarUnleashed mod. I wont reveal too much (im in the project), but it contains members of the Coalition. However, it is not the actual Coalition.
