You can find TDCs on Leon Base, Omega-41, and Tripoli Shipyard, Omicron Gamma.

Oh, only the Tizona Del Cid, the ultimate shieldbuster. Around 1200 shield damage per shot at 4 refire rate.

You must have seen them, they're on most standard loadouts in the "Best loadout" threads

That's easy to correct if it bothers you. I think there's a mod on this site that adds a beam.

Plus the fact that they are level 9 means that those slots which you can't put lvl 10s in aren't wasted in the slightest.

The level 9 slots on the Eagle, Sabre and Titan shouldn't be wasted anyway, TDC or no TDC. There are many class 9 weapons that can go there to great effect. Some people prefer other weapons, like to Salamanca II, Skyblast B or Kraken 2.
