Most profitable trade routes
I'm new at Freelancer so I'm sorry if the trade routes have already been analyzed to death and I'm just boring you to tears.
Anyway, I combed through the commodities list on Lancers Reactor and drew up a list of trade routes based on profit per item sold and distance (measured in systems). Then I divided profit by distance to determine which routes were most time efficient.
The highest ratings I found were:
$1077 profit / 3 systems = 359 ... Diamonds from Ronneburg Base (Omicron Beta) to Planet Leeds (Leeds)
$1012 profit / 3 systems = 337 ... Alien artifacts from Cadiz Base (Omega-5) to Planet New London (New London)
$1600 profit / 5 systems = 320 ... Alien organisms from Freeport 9 (Omicron Theta) to Cambridge Research Station (Cambridge)
$1200 profit / 4 systems = 300 ... Engine components from Planet Honshu (Honshu) to Planet Malta (Omicron Alpha)
Admittedly, reckoning distances by star systems isn't the most accurate because the real distance depends on (1) where the origin and destination are located in each system and (2) the presence/absence of trade lanes that speed up travel within a system. Please let me know what you guys think.
