Planet Hikari

Not sure if this has been up before but have most people heard of Planet Hikari? I've had Freelancer since day one and only just clicked on it by chance while I was at Akita Border station. Even though I couldn't see it and it didn't show up on my scanners I just happened to randomly click in that area. Lol, and I thought I found everything two months ago. Makes you wonder if there are others in the depths of nebulas else where. I already know about Kurile, Cerebrus and Hades, the one in Omicron Beta, and the one in Omicron Theta

Planet Hikari is in the same cloud as the Honshu-Simgam 13 gate, dont know the exact position sorry

Yeah, there's a ton of stuff out there, and I don't think anyone's discovered all of it. I know for a fact I haven't. A week ago I discovered this cool dark matter research facility in Kusari while replaying the storyline. I'm sure there's tons more to explore out there, it's a good reason to keep playing. --- VH16

I've never heard of this either. I did however find planet Curinea (something similar) in one of the Omicron systems. I almost flew straight in to it

I heard stories that there was a ship in Elite that there was only one of. I believe it actually became somewhat of a "myth" because very few people actually saw it. Perhaps there is something like that in FL?

Its not in the official game. Is it in a mod? Ioncross lists all planets in the game and it isn't here.

I keep thinking it is a sloppy leave behind from the original game but I've burnt up a few times because it is like an itch that I can't scratch.

Try going there and plot a course close to but not in the sun's corona and your scanner will pick up the unknown object. At least it does when I do it. Is it anything at all

I think it was in both the original game and in the SDK. But it has been a long time siince I've run FL without SDK so now I am not so sure.

What's cool in FL is that you discover new stuff loong after main plot is over. It's nice that when ever you feel you have seen everything you stumble on a new planet or a station

I found it in FL explorer so I assume it's a real planet. Does ioncross list non dockable planets?

Theres abosulutely tons of undockable, miles-away-from-tradelane planets. I think theres 2 in Texas and 1 in Hamburg, plus tons of others

After finding out about planet Hikari, i went in search of more planets that were hidden in nebulas. This search took me to sigma 13 where i spent about half an hour flying round looking for something.

I didn't find anything.
